Nearly a half century ago she united with the Christian church. Her last sickness was attended with great suffering, borne without a murmur. Her end was peace, and her future we believe, a blessed immortality."3 She was buried on after 19 September 1868 in Marker info: Wife of Col Hez. Gorton, died Sept 19, 1868, age 73 years, 5 mo in Marion Cemetery, Marion, Marion, Ohio.3
