Levi Capron was born near Laura, Miami County, Ohio, Dec. 3, 1835, and departed this life Jan. 23, 1921, at the late home near Winchester, Ind., aged 85 years, 1 month and 20 days.
He was the tenth in the family of twelve children of Welcome M. and Delana North Capron.
He attended the common school until about 18 years of age. Later he went to Antioch College where he spent some time preparing for the ministry……
He leaves behind six children, Hannah Capron, Hettie Capron, Mrs. David Harris, W.W. Capron, R.A. Capron, Mrs. Roll Warren, one grandson, Merle R. Culbertson, who was reared in the home, nineteen other grandchildren, one sister, Mrs. Sarah Stanfield of Detroit, Mich., and a host of most kind and loyal neighbors and friends.
The funeral service was held Tuesday, Jan. 25th, at the White River church near Winchester."5 He was buried on 25 January 1921 in
